Sydney based Del Lumanta is an artist, musician, DJ, educator, and organiser. Their interlocking artistic and music projects seek to simultaneously expand connectivity between those sharing the gallery or performance space, and encourage horizontal engagement where all participants exist within a safe space.

Their latest release Preparations splices deep ambient washes against caustic noise frameworks, merging these two spectra through a series of subliminally deployed rhythmic elements. The tracks are recordings are taken from performances during Sydney Festival’s Masters of Modern Sounds at the Art Gallery of NSW, experiments in response to the gallery space.

The final track, Last Days of Rain is an improvised recording made a few weeks after winding down from the event. It is a gentle and reflective lullaby, a soothing contemplation in response to the earlier discord.

Preparations by Del Lumanta, released 08 November 2019 1. Preparations I 2. Preparations II 3. Preparations III 4. Last Days Of Rain From Del Lumanta Preparations was my first time experimenting with modular synthesis.
